A Comma

It's has been 3+ months when I started my job hunting. The frequency of interaction with HR or companies is just like a parabolic curve. A long time of applying, writing resume and cover letters and waiting, then maybe get a chance to have an interview, but at last is rejected.

Some one tells me that until I deliver 100 resume and get 10 interviews can I see my offer. So far, I have been interviewed by Deloitte, Reuters, Bloomberg, DB, RBS, UBS, iCapital, UOB, and Grant Thornton, among which I have been proceeded to the last round for DB and RBS. However, unfortunately, I failed. The month of Novemeber and December were my most tough time, cuz I experienced a lot and also gained valuable lessons.

I really like the culture that DB expressed to me, including its treatment as I came to the office. The reason that I was rejected was the intervewers considered that I felt struggling when I understand their questions.

As for RBS, I thought it would be my destination and I believed I performed well in AC. I well handled the technical part, but I'm afraid the group exercise might brings about my failure. Well, it was my first time to have AC and I must confess that I didn't pose myself well in this group discussion. I behaved just like a complementary person, who didn't have his own opinion. More precisely, I acted as a helper, not a manager.

My last interview was with UOB, which was just the first round for MA prog. I treated it as normal and didn't take it quite serious. The interviewer talked with me only for 13 minutes, but I successfully enrolled to the second round that is online test. However, I don't feel satisfied as I do it. I did it in China.

All of these interviews really gave me a lot to think about myself and about how to handle different cases. I find that no one is born to be an excellent interviewee. Practice makes perfect. The saying really do!

When I spent CNY at home, I received an email from P&G and asked me to contact them as I am back to SG. They tranferred me to Finance Department. It's really a long story. Last year, I attended their written test and passed. However, they think I am not fit for the CMK position. There was a interlude. I sat for the exams but found the position code I applied did not contain finance dept. That's the reason why I chose CMK, which was the only dept I heard before. Thanks to P&G HR side, I will have another chance.

Another news is from a supplier of wireless system. They called me yesterday night from India and may be going to have me interview as I go back to SG.

Job hunting is a long way, but I don't want it to be too long. In this year, I will be much harder to catch my first step into the society.
